Getting around the Université Le Havre Normandie
Updated on: 10/06/2026
Ideally located, Université Le Havre Normandie offers you the possibility of getting around on foot, by bike, by bus, by train, etc.
To encourage the use of alternative modes of transport to the car, the University and the City of Le Havre, as part of a sustainable development approach, offer services at advantageous rates for students.
On foot
Université Le Havre Normandie is a 5-minute walk from the SNCF and bus stations, 20 minutes from the town hall and Perret center, and 35 minutes from the beach.
By bike
Short- and long-term bike rental solutions are available for your trips in and around Le Havre (185 km of cycle paths):
- LiAvélos offers free or low-cost bike hire all year round, accessible to all.
- The City of Le Havre makes bicycles adapted to different types of disability available free of charge to disabled people. For further information, contact 02 35 19 44 33.
By bus or streetcar
LiA, Le Havre’s public transport network, makes it easy to get around. Whether by bus or streetcar, several lines will take you directly from your home to the University’s various sites (Caucriauville, Frissard and Lebon).
