Research Department – DiRVED

Updated on: 10/06/2026

The DiRVED (Direction de la Recherche, de la Valorisation et des Études Doctorales) implements the university’s research policy, in conjunction with the Vice-President Research and Development and the Research Commission.

It is structured around four main areas of activity:

  • administrative and financial support for research laboratories and management of the research budget;
  • support in setting up and monitoring research projects;
  • support for development, technology transfer and innovation;
  • training through research.

DiRVED is the main contact for research partners, research organizations and laboratories.

It works in close collaboration with several components of Normandie Université, within the framework of shared missions:

  • Normandie Valorisation, an internal structure of Normandie Université, which brings together teams from the various establishments of the ComUE, with the shared aim of promoting the transfer of innovations resulting from research to the socio-economic world;
  • Collège des Études Doctorales, or CED, which oversees doctoral training in Normandy and its 8 Écoles Doctorales (ED), in conjunction with the institutions co-accredited to award the Normandy doctorate.
