Take the TOEIC test

Updated on: 09/06/2026

The TOEIC is an external English exam created by ETS (the same organization that produces the TOEFL: Test of English as a Foreign Language) to test your level of English in a professional context. The format consists solely of a MCQ of 100 listening comprehension questions and 100 reading comprehension questions, to be completed in two hours.

What is TOEIC Listening and Reading?

The TOEIC is an external English exam created by ETS (the same organization that produces the TOEFL: Test of English as a Foreign Language) to test your level of English in a professional context. The format consists solely of a MCQ of 100 listening comprehension questions and 100 reading comprehension questions, to be completed in two hours.

Your results are sent to you in the form of a certificate showing your TOEIC score, which is valid for two years after the test date. The maximum score is 990/990; the score required by most engineering schools is 785/990. On your certificate, your scores are interpreted according to an evaluation grid that describes your language skills.

The biggest advantage is its reputation. TOEIC is known worldwide, and is recognized by many companies and schools.
Another advantage is that you cannot fail TOEIC. The TOEIC results in a score that reflects your level of English at the time you take the test. Your score corresponds to this level.

We offer four sessions during the academic year. These sessions are open to all internal audiences (students enrolled in one of the university’s departments) as well as continuing education students.

You will find the dates and locations of the tests on the online registration site.
