Enhancement and innovation

Updated on: 10/06/2026

The member institutions of the ComUE Normandie Université have set up systems to promote academic research, and have been working for many years to harmonize their tools and processes in this area.

Some key actions organised by the university:

  • Harmonising and ensuring consistency between the activities of knowledge transfer structures,
  • Identifying and detecting transfer potential within the various research structures,
  • Organising the knowledge transfer process by introducing new tools, services and expertise to support laboratory projects,
  • Boosting the maturation of research projects in order to facilitate their transfer to the socio-economic world,
  • Improving the effectiveness of transfer activities.

Vision

  • Creating synergy between institutions to promote knowledge transfer towards the socio-economic sector and with existing knowledge transfer stakeholders,
  • Promoting the development of a dynamic, scalable ecosystem that supports knowledge transfer across the Normandy region, covering the entire value chain from idea to industrial application, while combining both approaches: “technology push” and “market pull”.

Scope of action

  • Promoting actions designed to increase the impact on the region’s economic fabric,
  • Increasing initiatives with industry, particularly through licensing, maturation or co-maturation, the management of collaborative multi-partner and/or multi-laboratory projects, access to “platforms”, etc.,
  • Creating a greater number of start-ups, or supporting the growth of existing start-ups,
  • Completing and simplifying the knowledge transfer chain with existing stakeholders in Normandy,
  • Establishing highly responsive governance for Normandie Valorisation, capable of taking rapid action,
  • Focusing on areas of excellence.
