More information
The requirement for students at Le Havre Normandie University to study one or more foreign languages as part of their course will enable them to :
- enter the job market with one (or more) internationally recognized languages,
- be immediately operational in the language of the host company during an internship abroad,
- have the opportunity to study abroad (ERASMUS, CREPUQ, ISEP, U8, bilateral agreements, conventions), while validating their degree.
Students can choose to start or continue studying one or more of these languages, either as a compulsory language or as an additional option. Some degrees offer two compulsory languages, and it is also possible to choose a language as a free unit (UL).
ULs are second-semester teaching units, but as language courses are designed for a full academic year, students must register in the language of their choice from the first semester onwards, with a bonus system to take into account results obtained in the first semester.
