Attentive to the success of its students, Le Havre Normandie University is strongly committed – with recognized results – to welcoming all baccalaureate holders and promoting the success and professional integration of all its students.

Pedagogical support

The university is developing a policy of pedagogical support, with initiatives to help students succeed in their studies, develop documentary methodology and build their personal projects. A special welcome is offered to new students. For this commitment, it has been identified by the Ministry as an “exemplary university”.

Support for documentary research

The university library is a superb facility, both architecturally and functionally. They have access to all the resources of the documentation center. What’s more, they are offered support in their documentary research.

Welcoming students with disabilities

In liaison with the preventive medicine department, the disability service provides students with disabilities with the best possible support, thanks to accommodations concerning the organization of their studies, and technical and human aids.

Supporting students in their transition to working life

In 1995, the university set up the Espace Orientation et Insertion (EOI) to help students develop their personal training and career plans. This department is responsible for information, guidance, internship placement and professional integration. The Career Center, a professional integration platform designed to facilitate exchanges and actions between the university and its professional partners, is available to the entire university community.

Information and guidance

Comprehensive information on studying at the University of Le Havre Normandie and other French higher education establishments is available, as well as documentation on further studies and career changes. Guidance and career counsellors, specialists in higher education, provide one-to-one interviews.

Internships

The service provides databases of local, national and international companies, and posts internship offers received directly from companies. The EOI integration team provides individual or small-group assistance in writing resumes and cover letters.
