Experimental Platforms

Université Le Havre Normandie (ULHN) provides companies with access to its scientific expertise, specialised skills and part of its advanced equipment through tailored service provision.

Some of the research conducted within our laboratories relies on rare, sometimes unique instruments and infrastructures, combined with high-level scientific expertise. These resources are available to companies, particularly in the chemical, industrial, maritime and environmental sectors, which are strongly represented in the economic fabric of Le Havre and Normandy. To facilitate access to these skills and equipment, ULHN has created four thematic technological platforms, supported by its researchers as well as its administrative and technical staff:

  • ACCÈS – Chemical, Cosmetic & Sensory Analyses
  • CAUSME – Multi-scale Ultrasonic Acoustic Characterisation
  • MECAFLUIDES – Fluid mechanics applied to marine and port environments
  • PRESEN – Normandy Environmental Science Research Platform

These platforms offer companies tailor-made services to meet their R&D needs: testing, measurements, technical studies, equipment rental or access to specific infrastructures. Université Le Havre Normandie is therefore a key partner in transforming the scientific expertise developed within its research structures into concrete and innovative solutions accessible to the economic world.

ACCéS - Chemical, Cosmetic & Sensory Analysis

ACCès is a cutting-edge scientific platform developed by URCOM (Unité de Recherche en Chimie Organique et Macromoléculaire), dedicated to the analysis of odorous substances, the development of innovative cosmetic formulations and the optimization of sustainable processes.

DISCOVER THE PLATFORM

ULHN’s CAUSME platform provides access to the ultrasonic acoustics expertise of the LOMC (Laboratoire Ondes et Milieux complexes). In addition to outstanding characterization resources and research equipment, the platform benefits from the know-how and analysis capabilities of the research staff for R&D studies.

DISCOVER THE PLATFORM

Developed by the LOMC (Laboratoire Ondes et Milieux complexes), the MécaFLuides platform provides test facilities for studies into renewable marine energies and coastal and port areas in response to global change.

DISCOVER THE PLATFORM

ULHN’s PRESEN platform offers expertise in environmental sciences, geotechnics and materials science. It has developed multi-scale imaging techniques, enabling simultaneous analysis of mineral and organic matrices, which is unique in Normandy. It offers services such as optical microscopy, X-ray tomography and electron microscopy.
